The mere existence of this place is a bit of anomaly. It seems to be half-Western, half-Thai. However, it finds itself in a  place which is exclusively Thai. Now this is not inherently strange.  I get that a place can be Thai/Western fusion in an exclusively Thai area, this isn’t lost on me. Many Thai folks like to go to non-Thai places.  What makes this strange is that this is only such place in a road that isn’t especially far from other roads with similar (more refined) vibes AND those areas have a greater concentration of those bars.

Let’s explain with a visual

What makes it non-Thai I ask is that there’s an actual bar, with Western drinks and decor that isn’t particularly Thai.

However…the food, Thai! The menu, Thai! The music , Thai! The language spoken, Englis… Thai! The movies they play …Thai!…hell the fact that they even play movies on the TV…..Thai! I’ve been here maybe 3 times before. The first time not that full. Second time 40% full…not a single foreigner in site…all good….but back the thesis statement why does this place exist in the form it does…Questions and answers.
